‘Blame it on the Bossa Nova’ is a vibrant musical journey exploring Brazil’s most famous gift to music, the Bossa Nova. Be prepared to journey in your mind to the stunning beaches, majestic mountains and buzzy clubs of Rio. ‘Blame it on the Bossa Nova’ brings to life the hit songs that defined Bossa Nova in the 1960’s such as ‘Desafindao’, ‘Doralice’ and the most famous of all, ‘The Girl from Ipanema’, which featured saxophonist Stan Getz and guitarist, João Gilberto on the original recording, but has been covered by everyone from Frank Sinatra to Amy Winehouse. ‘Blame it on the Bossa Nova’ is led by multi-award-winning saxophonist Dan Forshaw featuring Georgia Mancio on vocals this is a summer evening not be missed!
